Renee Smith
Renee Smith is an Atlanta-based freedom fighter and is committed to making sure that black women can occupy spaces that were once inaccessible. She is a natural-born humanitarian and has always found herself volunteering at food banks and supervising soup kitchens.
Renee Smith has an extensive legal background and worked as a trainee solicitor at one of UK’s top-ranking law firms. During this time, she performed pro-bono immigration services for refugees during the height of BREXIT.
She has worked with organizations such as the British-American Chamber of Commerce and Afghanistan and Central Asian Association before transitioning into politics upon her return to the United States in 2017. Immediately thereafter, she joined the Stacey Abrams for Governor campaign and then served as the Director of Finance and Operations for the Democratic Party of Georgia during the Coordinated Campaign. She now works with Black Voters Matter, where she serves as Operations for 11 states.
Renee Smith holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from Florida State University, a Masters degree in International Security from London Metropolitan University and a law degree and Masters of Laws degree from the University of London.
